Ari Ruiz Lang
VISUAL ARTIST
Interdisciplinary artist, interested in the relationships of art with the environment and collaborative practices. She has a degree in Visual Arts from the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda”. Her work covers different media: painting, collage, assembly, installation, video, action, animation. She investigates notions such as chance, control, time, movement, gravity, change, phenomena, landscape and habitation.
In parallel with the development of her work, she has dedicated herself to management and production, developing a great diversity of artistic, cultural and educational projects. In recent years she coordinated the curatorial area of the LILHA artistic residency, dedicated to art-education projects, environmental awareness and community work.
She currently lives in Mexico City where she is studying the Master's Degree in Art and Environment at UNAM and visits Bahía de Banderas as much as she can, where she collaborates on the San Pancho Arts Factory project and with dear friends.
