Edgar Solorzano
VISUAL ARTIST
Edgar Solórzano is a plastic artist who lives and works in Mexico City. He studied Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture – UNAM and at the Bauhaus Universität Weimar (BUW), where he began his practice as an artist. His work explores the invisible and emotional relationships we have with space and objects through memory. He uses diverse media such as sculpture, painting, drawing, and installation. He is a recipient of the Young Creators (FONCA) scholarship and has participated in projects such as "Landscapes" at the Jumex Museum, "Fictional Architecture" at the Alameda Art Laboratory and "Biocene" at the Foreign Ministry Museum. His work is part of public and private collections in Mexico, Germany, Colombia and the United States.
