Laura Rosete
VISUAL ARTIST
He studied at the La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving and completed a Master's Degree in Visual Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts, UNAM. In 1992, she held her first individual exhibition at La Esmeralda Gallery, ENPEG, INBA. She was a FONCA scholarship holder, in the Young Creators program, during the years 2000-2001. In 2002 she obtained the National Honorable Mention for Sculpture at the Yucatan Biennial of Visual Arts. In 2004 she participates in a collective exhibition at the Especial Art Gallery, Miami, USA, and she obtains the scholarship in the Artistic Residency Exchange Program, Mexico-Canada, from FONCA, at the Banff Center in the discipline of sculpture. In Mexico, she has exhibited at Lourdes Sosa Galería in 200, and in 2006, at the Centro Cultural España. In 2006 she completed the Residency at the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, Vermont, USA.
